At Live Consulting Inspections, we understand that purchasing a home is a major milestone and investment. Our job is to take as much of the guesswork out of the home-buying process as possible. Live Consulting Inspections started in 2021 by Ed Wood. Ed and his wife Kim moved here from NJ, after he retired as a Police Sergeant, serving 25 years as a NJ Police Officer.
During his adult life Ed built 3 custom homes from the ground up. During the three builds he learned about all the trades, building codes, and the not what to do’s.
For the last three years, Ed has worked as a service manager for a property management company. In that position, Ed has seen the failures of many components of homes and condos. Short cuts that were made by builders of the '80s and ’90s and the present time flippers. These shortcuts have created major expenses for the homeowner and Homeowners’ Associations.
Ed decided that this sub-standard work has to be identified so a homebuyer can make an educated decision on whether the purchase is worth what is hidden behind the walls and floors.
In 2020 Ed started his education and became an InterNachi Certified Professional Home Inspector and adhere to a comprehensive Florida Residential Standards of Practice.
Ed is also a FAA 107 certified Drone Pilot and can perform aerial inspections and aerial photography with the use of a drone, saving time and limiting liability to fulfill a Clients needs.
Ed and Kim live in Port Charlotte with their fur babies and will serve All of South Florida.
